YAHÉ 4TET: four legends, one friendship
On Wednesday 30 September at 9.00 pm, the ‘ Baiser Salé ’ welcomes a collective unlike any other. Formed during a tour of Senegal alongside singer Carlou D, Yahé 4tet brings together four leading figures from the worlds of jazz and world music, bound by a deep friendship and a simple desire: to play together, without hierarchy.
Here, there is no leader. Each member composes, performs and brings their own voice to the music. Sylvain Beuf, a leading figure in French jazz, joins forces with Fabrice Devienne on keyboards, whose tribute to Aimé Césaire in “DIPENDA” left a lasting impression. Joining them are Thierry Fanfant, a bassist whose playing has graced over a thousand albums, and Benjamin Henocq, a colourful drummer who has worked with the likes of Michel Portal, Bojan Z and Nguyen Lê.
Four soloists, a single collective energy. This ‘all-star’ ensemble promises a rare alchemy, where each musician shines without ever overshadowing the others.
An evening not to be missed for all lovers of vibrant jazz and exceptional musical encounters.
