We have not forgotten.

Patrick Francfort, founder with his brothers Chris and Alex of Baiser Salé

Patrick Francfort

Patrick Francfort came from the island of Martinique, where the waves were already making music. Arriving in Paris at a young age with his brothers Alex and Chris, they formed the Gibson Brothers, a group that blended disco and Caribbean rhythms and enjoyed international success with songs like Cuba, Que Sera Mi Vida and Ooh! What a Life. Patrick, a discreet but essential drummer, sets the rhythm and energy of the trio.

But Patrick didn't just light up the stages: he helped create a venue that continues to keep his spirit alive: LeLe Baiser Salé, aunique space where jazz is mixed, invented and shared. A refuge for artists, a laboratory for encounters, a musical hotbed open to all kinds of curiosities.

We may miss Patrick, but his legacy lives on at Baiser Salé. In every evening where new talent is revealed, in every note played, in every smile exchanged, his influence continues to vibrate.

We honour his memory with gratitude and loyalty - certain that what he created, with passion and generosity, will live on for a long time to come. Patrick Francfort passes away in 2020, leaving behind him the legacy of a talented musician and a man committed to the Paris music scene, true to the spirit of generosity and conviviality that animated his life.
