The Jazz Club at the “ Baiser Salé ” is giving Natascha Rogers free rein for two evenings
With ‘Onaida’, she has released an intimate album, in which piano and percussion respond to one another like the two beats of a single heart. It is organic, soothing music, drawing on her Native American heritage, European roots and travels with Mandinka and Afro-Cuban percussionists. Each track becomes a gentle ritual, a way of looking after oneself, others and all living things – simple, yet never simplistic.
For this carte blanche, she opens up her tracks, allowing them to breathe in a new way, and ventures into new compositions, surrounded by special guests who will be revealed little by little, in a free and warm-hearted spirit, almost as if at home.
