Sotiris Tsolis, a young Greek drummer, talks to us about the jam he organises every 2nd Sunday of the month.
A Greek percussionist and composer, he draws on the popular music of the Mediterranean as well as contemporary jazz, electronic textures and free forms of improvisation. His career is as rich as his artistic quest: trained in Athens, then in New York and Paris, he is gradually establishing himself as a singular voice on the European jazz scene.
Every 2nd Sunday of the month, after an intense opening concert, it's time for this alternative jam. A space for free exploration, open to all aesthetics. No imposed standards here: just listening, textures, risk-taking and sonic dialogue. A lively, collective jam, resolutely outside the usual formats.
Next performance on 11 December !
