TISS+WEEK 2ND EDITION AT THE JAZZ CLUB IN BAISER SALÉ

TISS+ WEEK returns from 1 to 8 October at the Baiser Salé Jazz Club.

From 1 to 8 October 2026, the Baiser Salé is entrusting its programme to drummer Tiss Rodriguez for a week of original creations and unique musical encounters.

This edition embodies a genuine curatorial approach: bringing together artists whose works naturally resonate with one another aroundthemes of heritage, spirituality, memory, Creole identity and cultural transmission…

The programme spotlights artists of African descent, leading female voices and an emerging generation who are reinventing the links between tradition and creativity.

Line-ups designed as creative works in their own right, revealing connections between unique artistic worlds.

And there’ll be surprise after-show events every evening 👀

Ariel Tintar I 1 October I 8.00 pm

Ariel Tintar, a Franco-Caribbean artist, explores identity, heritage and freedom through acoustic and electronic music inspired by his travels between Martinique, Morocco and Brazil. Having long performed under the name Ariel Ariel, he has now returned to his real name, marking a new beginning.

CELIA KAMENI & OXY I 2 October I 8.00 pm

Célia Kameni, trained in classical and jazz with touches of hip-hop and R&B, delivers intimate piano-and-voice performances that strike a balance between fragility and power. Opposite her, OXY weaves together jazz, techno and house on his keyboards, blending organic and electronic sounds. Together, with no safety net or set plan, they improvise live for an evening dedicated to the unexpected.

Za Kweli draws inspiration from the intersection of R&B, soul, jazz, funk and hip-hop to craft a musical world where everything stems from her: her voice, at the heart of every track, guides and embodies her songwriting.

JOWEE OMICIL I 3 October I 8.00 pm

Jowee Omicil, born in Montreal to Haitian immigrant parents, is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and improviser who challenges the conventions of musical genres by blending Afro-Caribbean rhythms, jazz, hip-hop, Afrobeat and improvisation within immersive, collaborative performances. Renowned for his authenticity and bold creativity, he forges connections between the audience, the musicians and across generations, guided by his BasH! principle – ‘Beauty Ascending Socially Honestly’ – a philosophy of love in motion.

FORMAL INSTITUTE I 4 October I 9.00 pm

Adrian Edeline is the sort of guitarist who defies categorisation. His alternative, ever-evolving style blends influences, subverts conventions and is constantly in search of new sounds. Whether on stage or in the studio, he’s one of those elusive musicians you recognise from the very first note.

Enhanced by the cultural diversity of the band’s members, the defining feature of Monsieur Mâlâ’s music is a 360-degree musical approach: jazz, rock, funk, electro, African, Caribbean… All underpinned by a shared, boundless love for grooves of all kinds and improvised music.

Formed in Paris when five musicians with strong individual personalities came together, Monsieur Mâlâ weaves influences together rather than simply juxtaposing them.
