THE BIG BLUES THEORY
Jammy Pip/Pap's Walker/Edwin Garnier/Olivier
The Big Blues Theory are four musicians with a passion for Delta Blues, that raw, heartfelt sound that comes from Mississippi. Four mates, drummer, bassist, harmonica player and guitarist/vocalist Jammy Pip, who make the blues breathe on stage as it should: direct, rough and lively. Inspired by the roots of the blues, the juke joints and dusty roads of the Delta, their sound is a blend of incisive riffs, lively vocals and a harmonica in constant dialogue. There's no museum-like reconstruction here: each track is improvised, stretched out, lived. With a solid rhythm section and infectious energy, The Big Blues Theory offer a blues that tells a story, shakes things up and takes you from Memphis to the present day, true to the spirit of the early bluesmen and the power of live performance.
