François Constantin’s #LaJamDuLundi features MACKWOOD

For over thirty years, François Constantin’s Monday Jam has been a must-attend event at the ‘ Baiser Salé ’, where musicians from all walks of life come together, united by a shared desire: to play, improvise and push the boundaries of jazz. For this edition, he has invited MACKWOOD, a London-based drummer and producer regarded as one of the most promising talents on the new British scene. Spotted performing alongside artists such as Jordan Rakei, Nilüfer Yanya and Blue Lab Beats, he has developed a unique sound, at the crossroads of jazz, hip-hop, electronic music and bass culture. With incisive grooves, daring rhythms and electronic textures, his music creates a dialogue between jazz traditions and the fresh sounds of the London scene.

After an opening set that sets the tone, it’s time for the jam! Boundaries dissolve, styles blend, and the musicians take over the stage. An evening dedicated to improvisation, collective energy and musical freedom, where nothing is scripted in advance.
