Having cut his teeth alongside artists such as Col3trane, Jim Legxacy, Nilüfer Yanya, Jordan Rakei and ELIZA, and having made a name for himself through crossover such as The Silhouettes Project and Levitation Orchestra, Mackwood has carved out a unique niche for himself at the intersection of progressive jazz, beat-making and alternative dancefloor rhythms. His musical world blends the tradition of British and international jazz with the new generation of London-based musician-producers, thereby continuing the famous British tradition of crossover that pushes boundaries. Rooted in jazz but with a sound that bridges hip-hop, electro and bass culture, Mackwood’s music transcends genres and audiences. In addition to his collaborations with international artists such as Javier Santiago, Don Glori and Blue Lab Beats, he is now stepping into the spotlight with his debut album, MASTER CHANGES.
