LAURENT FICKELSON TRIO presents SYLVAIN BEUF – “TYNER’S LEGACY”

McCoy Tyner has swept through the world of jazz like a force of nature: Coltrane’s pianist, the architect of modal sound, and an indispensable voice in half a century of music. Tyner’s Legacy pays tribute to this legacy by drawing not only on his own repertoire, but also on that of his fellow musicians – Coltrane, Wayne Shorter and Joe Henderson – all of whom were linked to that pivotal era when jazz shifted towards something entirely new.

A trio of piano, double bass and drums, joined by saxophonist Sylvain Beuf: not a re-enactment, but a vibrant conversation with music that hasn’t aged a bit.
