When you think of Monday, you inevitably think of Monday Jam! Hosted by François Constantin, the Monday Jam is the timeless event where the masters of the genre meet the younger generation for friendly musical exchanges. This time, it’s all about the accordion in all its forms! An instrument of a thousand faces, the accordion lends itself here to all kinds of styles: jazz, groove, world music and more contemporary sounds, ranging from melodies and rhythms to improvisations.
Alongside François Constantin on percussion and lead vocals, Gaétan Larrue on the accordion, Swaéli Mbappé on bass and Archibald Ligonnière on drums form an energetic and generous quartet, where the accordion reveals all its facets, carried by a rhythm section tailor-made for improvisation. Here, there’s no set score: we listen, we respond, we build on each other’s ideas and we create together, in the moment. A concert, followed by a jam session! This is ‘Monday’ played on the accordion, just waiting to burst onto the scene!
