#Tiss+week – SOTIRIS TSOLIS’S JAM SESSION features FORMAL INSTITUTE

Led by the Franco-Greek drummer Sotiris Tsolis, a prominent figure on the Parisian scene, the Sunday Jam explores the common ground between jazz, electronic music and improvised music, at the crossroads of groove and experimentation.

For this jam session, Sotiris Tsolis has invited Formal Institute, a project led in particular by guitarist Adrian Edeline. An elusive musician, he has developed a free-spirited and hybrid approach, drawing on jazz, alternative rock and experimental sound. With Formal Institute, he explores urgent and unpredictable music, somewhere between krautrock, jazz and telepathic improvisations, where form rubs shoulders with the unexpected and everything is built in the moment.
