Adrian Edeline is the sort of guitarist who defies categorisation. His style – alternative and ever-evolving – blends influences, subverts conventions and is constantly in search of new sounds. Whether on stage or in the studio, he is one of those elusive musicians you recognise from the very first note. As a composer for theatre, film and his own projects (Ouverture Facile, Serpent…), he brings a distinctive touch, always straddling the line between experimentation and raw emotion. It’s no surprise to find him collaborating with artists as diverse as Christine and the Queens, Juliette Armanet, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Crystal Murray and Adrien Soleiman. Adrian is also a constant companion on stage, whether with Crystal Murray, Tiss + or his most recent project: Formal Institute. Here, it’s all about urgency and the unexpected: music that takes shape in the moment, where form rubs shoulders with chance, somewhere between krautrock, jazz and telepathic improvisations. TISS+ Week presents a programme designed as a space for encounters, centred on heritage, memory, spirituality, creolity and transmission. Between reinvented traditions and new forms of expression, different worlds intersect and respond to one another to create unique line-ups, conceived as genuine spaces for creation.
