FRANÇOIS CONSTANTIN QUARTET – “Tribute to Erroll Garner”

Erroll Garner remains one of the most distinctive figures in the history of jazz. A self-taught pianist with an incomparable touch, the composer of the standard ‘Misty’ and a master of a swing style as free as it is elegant, he developed an instantly recognisable musical language in which virtuosity, lyricism and a sense of rhythm are one and the same. With this quartet, François Constantin celebrates the legacy of this exceptional musician alongside Jean-Michel Bernard, William Brunard and Romain Sarron. Together, they revisit Garner’s world with respect and personality, recapturing the infectious energy and freedom that made him a legend. This project accompanies the forthcoming release of an album dedicated to Erroll Garner, expected between September and December, and offers the chance to enjoy a sneak preview of a repertoire in which the elegance of Erroll Garner’s piano playing meets the chemistry and freedom of a first-rate quartet.
