#FestivalJazzSurSeine2026 CARTE BLANCHE FOR NATASCHA ROGERS

Onaida is a return to basics. An intimate, soulful album on which Natascha Rogers blends piano and percussion like the two beats of a single heart. Drawing on her European roots, her Indigenous heritage and her extensive travels with Mandinka and Afro-Cuban percussionists, she crafts music that is at once profound, organic and soothing.

Here, everything breathes: piano motifs that circle like mantras, songs in several languages, rhythms that ground and connect. Each track feels like a gentle ritual, a way of looking after oneself, others, all living things, memories and the unseen. It is simple, yet never simplistic: music that moves us because it is true.
