ANASTASIIA DONNA QUARTET presents JOACHIM GOVIN

Anastasiia Donna’s playing is striking for its lyricism, its freedom and an instantly recognisable musical personality. This Russian guitarist, with an international career, has developed a unique style that evokes both the elegance of Jim Hall and the modernity of Lage Lund, whilst asserting a resolutely personal voice. Praised by musicians such as Matt Brewer and Mark Whitfield for the subtlety of her playing, the finesse of her phrasing and the quality of her swing, she will present a repertoire for this concert that blends original compositions, new arrangements and great jazz standards. Joining her are Levi Harvey on piano, Joachim Govin on double bass and Pierre-Eden Guibaud on drums, forming a close-knit and inspired quartet dedicated to delivering music that is lively, sensitive and inventive.
