SONYA PINÇON QUARTET – “SOULVILLE”

Sonya Pinçon, a singer from Rennes, and her jazz trio pay tribute to the legendary pianist Horace Silver, the pioneer of “Bop & Latin Blues”. Renowned for her soulful voice and charisma, Sonya takes you on a unique musical journey, celebrating the legacy of this great master of jazz. On piano is Ludovic de Preissac, an arranger and pianist who has performed in Paris’s leading jazz clubs (first prize in piano, winner of Jazz à la Défense), and who has played and recorded with saxophonist Bob Mintzer and clarinettist Eddie Daniels. He is also the composer of several albums, including *West Side Story* and *Les Paradoxes de l’instinct*. On double bass is Cédric Caillaud, who has accompanied artists such as China Moses, Thomas Dutronc and Scott Hamilton. On drums is Stéphane Stanger, a graduate of the CMCN, a teacher at the Rennes Conservatoire, and a jazz and blues musician.
