#JazzDeDemain LAURIANE LUDOSKY – JAZZ EXPLORATIONS

Lauriane collects songs just as others collect travel journals. 
“Some have been with me for a long time. Others turn up when I’m listening to something, meeting someone, coming across a forgotten score or stumbling upon a recording by chance. They carry within them stories, emotions, landscapes and sometimes even questions that continue to resonate long after the final note has faded. I love songs that leave room for risk. Those that allow musicians to connect in the moment, to listen to one another, to respond to one another and to invent together a path that didn’t exist just a few minutes earlier.”

With its blend of reimagined standards, hidden gems and improvisations, Jazz Explorations is an invitation to listen, discover and be surprised. Throughout this residency, the standards we think we know sometimes take unexpected turns. Forgotten songs find their voice once more. The arrangements evolve, the improvisations open up new perspectives, and each concert becomes a unique adventure, shaped by the moment. Because a song is never quite the same when you sing it again. And perhaps that is where the magic of jazz lies. 
 

Launched in 2012, the #JazzDeDemain initiative has given rise to a series of bimonthly residencies enabling young artists to gain stage experience, hone a repertoire and present it to the public. A promising and dynamic initiative where creativity and excitement know no bounds. #BeCurious!
