Let yourself be swept away by the creative energy of Benjamin Sanz, the renowned drummer and composer, who leads a jam session where improvisation and tradition come together. Benjamin pays tribute to African-American music and jazz, whilst exploring a variety of soundscapes inspired by his many influences: African jazz, contemporary jazz, and much more.

For this evening, he will be accompanied by three exceptional musicians: Jérémie Lucchese on tenor saxophone, a young talent with a rich tone and deep sensitivity; Oscar Teruel on piano, whose free, raw and powerful playing navigates between tradition and modernity; and Joachim Govin on double bass, an accomplished musician who prioritises harmonic and rhythmic precision. Together, they will delve into the titanic world of Sonny Rollins — that colossus of the tenor saxophone whose inexhaustible swing and melodic inventiveness have redefined the boundaries of jazz.

Benjamin Sanz, drawing on his eclectic career and collaborations with legends such as Archie Shepp, David Murray and Joëlle Léandre, will guide this jam session into unexpected territory, driven by collective listening and boundless freedom of expression.
