In this 20th edition of the Jam Summer Festival, the Club welcomes an emblematic musician whose history is intimately linked to the venue: Étienne Mbappé. This big name in jazz and world music has a real love affair with the Club, which began in the 80s, and its scene, which he knows better than anyone after decades of music, sweat and passion shared within its walls. Originally from Bonendale, in the Sawa region of Cameroon, Étienne Mbappé arrived in France in 1978 and quickly established himself as a talented virtuoso bassist, inspired composer and showman, and is now recognised as one of the most versatile musicians of his generation. His distinctive, gloved style of playing has given him an inimitable sound signature - a finesse of touch and an expressiveness that sets him apart on stages the world over. He has left his mark on the Club's history with groups that have become cult favourites: Rido Bayonne, Casino, Ultramarine, Chic'hot, Su La Take, The Prophetes, Nec+... 
On stage, Étienne Mbappé embodies the very spirit of jamming: a musical dialogue where every note is an invitation to adventure.
