DAL SASSO & SHEKINAH RODZ OCTET – “SPIRIT OF 3” ALBUM RELEASE

This new album, “Spirit of 3”, is first and foremost a musical and spiritual encounter between the inspired pen of Christophe Dal Sasso and the prayerful words of Shekinah Rodz. It is also an energy brought to life by eight voices, pushing the boundaries of jazz in a celebration of the number three: past, present, future; melody, rhythm, silence…

Drawing on his past compositions for big bands, choirs and symphonic orchestrations, he has created a repertoire that is as profound as it is festive, at the crossroads of Mediterranean, African and Indian rhythms.

Three, once again. A decidedly fundamental number that brings out the very essence of our dual nature – our arms, our eyes, our ears and even the beating of our hearts.

Three, symbolising birth, life and death. But above all, life! And so, the trance began… The marvellous thing about intuition is that it often gets it just right…
