DORNBUSCH  / MOGLIA - NEW YORK QUARTET

Saxophonist Phillip Dornbusch and trombonist Gaspard Moglia met while studying in New York, where they are now pursuing their artistic careers. Their meeting gave rise to a musical collaboration that is as natural as it is passionate. Together, they founded a quartet with a unique sound, combining the energy of contemporary jazz, the boldness of original compositions and a daring search for melody. Their sound draws on the heritage of modern jazz while exploring new sonic territories. To complete their alchemy, they have gathered around them some exceptional musicians: Quinton Cain, a Brooklyn-based drummer, and Gabriel Sauzay, a double-bass player from Paris. Their repertoire is based above all on original compositions by the two leaders, and immerses us in an immersive experience, where every note sounds like a story in its own right.
