Journalist, poet and writer Robert Latxague joins us for a musical reading accompanied by pianist Leonardo Montana. Blending words and rhythm, words and notes, he explores how to illustrate personal texts within a sensitive, improvised musical universe, creating a subtle dialogue between voice and piano.
How can original personal texts be brought to life in an appropriate musical background? From a collection of free verse woven without rhyme or reason (Tourments d'Amour, Editions France Libris) written with a journalist's sensibility, they deliver a daily life made up of current events and life in the world perceived as sol y sombra, in black and white, containing feelings in and stories out, lived or imagined. In his writing, he seeks to take advantage of the plasticity of language to create musical lines. The voice, the attacks, the finales, the intonations, the improvisations build this architecture of words and sounds.
Robert Latxague has already performed this type of musical reading on stage with Sylvain Luc, Eric Seva, Jean Marie Ecay, Michel Ducau, Gerard Luc, Matthieu Chazarenc, Paul Lay, the Collectif l'Artisterie de Grenoble etc...
