When words meet music: Robert Latxague, poet and journalist, lets his voice converse with Leonardo Montana's piano. A musical reading where words and notes intertwine.
How can personal texts be brought to life within a musical landscape? Taken from Tourments d'Amour, a collection of free verse, these fragments of writing capture the world in all its contrasts; between sol y sombra, reality and imagination. The writing is free of formal constraints, but attentive to the musicality of the language itself.
Because here, everything becomes rhythm: the inflections of the voice, the silences, the attacks and suspensions. Text becomes breath, and breath becomes music. Robert Latxague has been bringing this dialogue between voice and music to life on stage for several years now. Alongside musicians such as Sylvain Luc, Éric Séva and Paul Lay, he explores the nuances of this dialogue, between listening, improvisation and reinvention
