Afro-Caribbean. Jazz. Identity. Encounters. Sounds of... brings together Lauriane Ludosky, Sylvain Le Ray, Ralph Lavital and Sonny Troupé to explore Caribbean and African music and contemporary jazz. It's a lively, intuitive search, nourished by improvisation, the memory of rhythms and collective listening. Over the course of its residencies, the trio invites artists from a wide range of backgrounds, each with their own 'sound and identity'. Voices, timbres, rhythms, backgrounds: each guest brings with him or her what makes them who they are. These exchanges give birth to an original, ever-changing repertoire that is permeated by the stories, energies and languages of each individual. Here, sound is much more than a style or a colour: it's a way of inhabiting music, of saying who you are, where you come from, and where you're heading. Sounds of... is a free creative space where identities are expressed and transformed through musical dialogue. No borders, no fixed formats. Just a shared desire to make roots, paths and voices vibrate. We're in this together.
