BETTINA MARTINEZ TRIO

Bettina Martinez, a young pianist on the Paris jazz scene, is already establishing herself as a promising figure on the piano. At just 19, her talent has been recognised by her inclusion in the Orchestre National de Jazz des Jeunes, an accolade that testifies to her artistic maturity and creativity. 
For this concert, she is joined by two brilliant accomplices: Julien Rech on double bass and Jonas Charles on drums. Together they form a trio of the new jazz generation, where precision, harmony and improvisation meet.
Their personal and demanding repertoire combines original compositions and revisits of standards, with a contemporary aesthetic. Winners of the Léopold Bellan international competition in 2025, the trio draws its inspiration from the legacy of Chick Corea and Tigran Hamasyan, while asserting its own identity, a blend of sound research and respect for tradition.
On stage, the trio offer a performance that is both virtuoso and accessible, where their music, rooted in modern jazz, seduces with its balance between structure and freedom, between homage and innovation.
