Viviane Ginapé and Alain Jean-Marie pay tribute to Abbey Lincoln, a great figure of vocal jazz, a committed singer with a deep, inhabited voice, whose interpretation combined strength, freedom and emotion. Through this repertoire, Viviane Ginapé, a singer and teacher steeped in the great voices of jazz such as Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan, but also in Latin music, offers a personal, sensitive and intimate reading of Abbey Lincoln's universe. The dialogue with Alain Jean-Marie, one of jazz's great pianists, is one of finesse, listening and complicity, for a moment of music that is warm, sincere and deeply alive.
