LAURENT MAUR  / DOMINIQUE VANTOMME 4TET - "Old Friends"

Since meeting in Paris twenty-five years ago, harmonica player Laurent Maur and pianist Dominique Vantomme have shared stages, music and a deep artistic connection. Despite this long collaboration, no recording has yet immortalised it.

Now it's done: in a single day of recording at the Finster Studio in Antwerp, they have captured the raw, spontaneous energy of their playing. Accompanied by Werner Lauscher on double bass and Domenico Verderame on drums, they present an album rich in original compositions and two revisited covers.

A free, elegant and personal album, reflecting twenty-five years of friendship and shared creation.
