HUGO CORBIN invite MONIKA KABASELE

His first album, Inner Roads, released in 2019, already invited us to explore inner worlds. This time around, Hugo Corbin seems to want to direct the journey, like a film director. Inspired by Lynch, but also by Korean director Kim Jee-Woon and novelist Hwang Sok-yong, he draws on a variety of soundscapes that never leave the listener behind. Hugo's guitar travels here with Marc Buronfosse's bass, Srdjan Ivanovic's drums, and Robby Marshall's tenor saxophone. Another instrument that Hugo has decided to give pride of place to is the voice. And it is that of Monika Kabasele, whom the guitarist accompanied on her album “Grécofuturisme,” acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. Hugo Corbin dreams, and we dream with him. His music fulfills its mission and makes us want to contemplate and enjoy the moment.
