MAGIC MALIK QUARTET XP

With his Quartet XP—XP for Experience, of course—Magic Malik continues to forge his own path, where jazz reinvents itself with every note. A flutist with unique ideas and a curiosity about everything, he plays with sounds as others play with light: shifting shadows, revealing new colors. His flute speaks, breathes, plays, and sometimes bursts into flame, carried by the unique energy that runs through all his music. At his side are three musicians who are as inventive as they are attentive: Maïlys Maronne on piano, Jean-Luc Lehr on bass, and Vincent Sauve on drums. Together, they build a space for collective play, where improvisation becomes a common language. We encounter shifting grooves, unexpected harmonies, bursts of melody that arise and then immediately escape.
