Bring together six musicians brimming with talent and energy in a group with Afro-Brazilian, jazz and Afro-Caribbean influences, and you get an irresistible musical alchemy. Founded in 2023 by Jamayê Viveiros (trumpet) and Tristan Boulanger (percussion) after an inspiring trip to Brazil, the group's modern sound celebrates the traditional rhythms of the Nordeste, from Baião to Forró, Maracatu to Afoxé. For Sapocaya, music is a veritable playground: melodies and rhythms meet spontaneously, each musician contributing his or her own unique colour to the collective harmony. It's an invitation to joy, dance and celebrate, where influences cross and intertwine to create a vibrant musical experience full of life. In short, Sapocaya is a group full of vitality, taking the pulse of the Brazil of yesterday and today to offer free, colourful music, spicy jazz that calls for dancing! Since 2012, Baiser Salé has been opening its doors to up-and-coming young talent! The aim? To give them a creative laboratory, a framework in which to develop their repertoire, hone their stage presence and experiment freely, testing out new compositions and offering an intimate set. It's a promising niche where creativity and excitement know no bounds!
