Immerse yourself in the spellbinding world of Mario Canonge and Michel Zenino, two jazz aces who have come together to create the incredible Quint’Up quintet! Here, jazz blends with Caribbean rhythms and hard bop, carried by infectious energy and grooves that make you want to move from the very first notes. Alex Duthil of Open Jazz on France Musique exclaims: “A torrent of energy, swing, mastery, and swaying grooves!” And Joe Farmer of RFI confirms: “This group defies time, enchanting and sublimating the musical heritage.” Quint'Up is also a team of international talents: Arnaud Dolmen, a drummer from Guadeloupe who has won a Victoires du Jazz award and been ranked among the best by Jazz Magazine and Jazz News; Josiah Woodson, a Grammy Award-winning trumpeter and guitarist; and Ricardo Izquierdo, a saxophonist who has been honored twice by Jazz Magazine. To encourage up-and-coming artists, our Club offers a series of residencies every two months. Here, they can develop their creative projects in ideal conditions: access to the venue, audio and video recordings, lighting and sound work, and even a monthly session with a sound engineer to fine-tune their music.
