With "Racines Sonores", singer-songwriter Béatrice Civaton embarks on a new stage in her artistic career, an original creation in residence at the crossroads of contemporary jazz and Caribbean rhythms. Songs in French and Creole create a sensitive, embodied soundscape. A weaver of melodies, she explores improvisation, syncopated rhythms and the living memory of the islands with finesse. Around her, five musicians build this living sound architecture with finesse. Léa Molina, on flute, breathes airy lines that evoke the wind from the heights, sometimes gentle, sometimes impetuous. On guitar, Nicolas Attié weaves a constant dialogue with the voice, between rhythmic clarity and harmonic bursts. Jean-Christophe Raufaste, on bass, roots the musical material in a telluric depth, while Jeff Ludovicus, on drums, carries the breath of the groove, between tension, release and syncopated bursts.
Since 2012, Baiser Salé has been opening its doors to up-and-coming young talent! The aim? To offer them a creative laboratory, a framework in which to develop their repertoire, hone their stage presence and experiment freely, try out their new compositions and offer an intimate set. It's a promising niche where creativity and excitement know no bounds!
