Afro-Caribbean. Jazz. Identities. Encounter. Sounds of... brings together Lauriane Ludosky, Sylvain Le Ray and Maxime Barcelona to explore Caribbean and African music and contemporary jazz. A lively, intuitive exploration, fuelled by improvisation, the memory of rhythms and collective listening. Throughout their residencies, the trio invites artists from various backgrounds, each bringing their own ‘sound and identity’. Voices, timbres, rhythms, journeys: each guest arrives with what defines them most deeply. These exchanges give rise to an original, evolving repertoire, imbued with the stories, energies and languages of each individual. Here, sound is much more than a style or a colour: it is a way of inhabiting music, of saying who we are, where we come from, and where we are headed. Sounds of... is a space for free creation where identities are expressed and transformed through musical dialogue. No boundaries, no fixed formats. Just a shared desire to make roots, paths and voices vibrate. Together.
