Charlotte and Émile met during an effervescent jam session at a festival in the south of France... and it was obvious: they had to create a show together. Off to Paris! Between shared repertoire and new material, their worlds blend naturally: eclectic but perfectly harmonious. Gypsy jazz that slides into bebop, nods to French chanson... All carried by the unique sound of Émile's plucked strings, reminiscent of an inspired Sylvain Luc, giving the group a unique musical personality. Émile Mélenchon is a virtuoso guitarist who has moved from classical training to a daring jazz career. His duo with Andrea Caparros gave rise to the album “Confidence” (2023), praised for the finesse of its arrangements and the sensitivity of the strings. Charlotte Planchou has had a successful year: her album Le Carillon, a duo with pianist Mark Priore, was praised by critics (Jazz Magazine's “choc,” TSF Jazz's “disc of the week,” Coup de Coeur Club Jazzafip) and earned her the prestigious Prix Évidence from the Académie du Jazz (revelation of the year), as well as the Académie Charles Cros' coup de cœur. Accompanied by Bastien Ribot on violin and guitar, Jean-Michel Charbonnel on double bass, they invite you into a world where Charlotte's luminous improvisation and Émile's playing are sure to touch your heart.
