Sounds of... is about roots that resonate, identities that vibrate, a residency not to be missed. Afro-Caribbean. Jazz. Identities. Encounter. Sounds of... brings together Lauriane Ludosky and her team to explore Caribbean and African music and contemporary jazz. A lively, intuitive quest, fuelled by improvisation, the memory of rhythms and collective listening. Throughout the residencies, the trio invites artists from a variety of backgrounds, each bringing their own ‘sound and identity’. Voices, timbres, rhythms, backgrounds: each guest arrives with what defines them most deeply. These exchanges give rise to an original, evolving repertoire, imbued with the stories, energies and languages of each individual. Here, sound is much more than a style or a colour: it is a way of inhabiting music, of saying who you are, where you come from and where you are going. Sounds of... is a space for free creation where identities are expressed and transformed through musical dialogue. No boundaries, no fixed formats. Just a shared desire to make roots, paths and voices vibrate. Together.
