From pop/folk to soul and gospel, Brazilian music and jazz standards, Elisabeth introduces us to her world through a repertoire of covers and compositions, accompanied only by the double bass of the fantastic Marie Véto. Initially drawn to contemporary music, Elisabeth Salaün gradually discovered vocal jazz with singers Monica Passos, Emi Oshima, Guylenn Delassus and Déborah Tanguy. During her training, which she completed in 2015 (DEM jazz singing), she had the chance to work with Carine Bonnefoy, David Patrois and meet her mentor, pianist and accordionist Patrick Villanueva. Eager to make her own jazz, she founded the ELISABETH SALAÜN Project, a jazz-vocal/fusion quartet in which she develops an eclectic repertoire inspired by her different musical influences. A passionate and versatile jazz double bassist, Marie Véto navigates with ease between swing, contemporary jazz, Brazilian music, free jazz and soul. After graduating with a DEM in jazz double bass (EDIM and CRD de Bourg-La-Reine/Sceaux), she honed her art with renowned mentors such as Vincent Jacqz, Laurent Coq, Gary Brunton, Jean-Philippe Viret and Manuel Marchès. At the same time, she pursued rigorous classical training under the guidance of Heidi Cecone, obtaining her CEM at the Conservatoire de Châtenay-Malabry. Her decisive meeting with Marie-Christine Dacqui opened the doors to orchestral academies in France and abroad.
