Alongside the magnetic voice of Ava Celly, the singular bass of Marc Buronfosse (and his deeply resonant Fender VI), and the cinematic drums of Srdjan Ivanovic, he revisits the mythical themes of the cult director - like so many soundscapes to be traversed with eyes closed. Hugo Corbin is a French guitarist and composer with a sensitive, cinematic universe. Trained between Paris, London and New York, his music blends contemporary jazz, soaring rock influences and seventh-art-inspired textures. Driven by a narrative approach to sound, he creates interior landscapes that are both melancholy and luminous, where each note seems to tell a story. His artistic approach, which straddles the border between the real and the imaginary, is expressed both in his own compositions and in his many collaborations on today's jazz scene.
