The Denise Mangiardi Quartet brings together four musicians with singular backgrounds, bound together by the same high artistic standards. Denise Mangiardi's voice and piano are both sober and expressive. Trained in jazz, classical music and musical theater, she has developed her own style, nourished by complex textures and fine interpretation. Her voice, by turns intimate and ample, dialogues with the piano in an organic complicity. At his side, saxophonist Robby Marshall deploys a fluid, inventive and sensitive style. A versatile musician, his improvisations are constantly in search of a balance between structure and freedom, melody and raw breath. On drums, Jeff Boudreaux adds a solid, nuanced rhythmic dimension. With his long experience on the international scene, he alternates precision, energy and flexibility, contributing to the quartet's dynamic identity. The bass, whose identity has yet to be confirmed, completes the ensemble with its anchored, mobile playing, guaranteeing the group's harmonic foundation and cohesive sound. Each with his or her own distinctive personality, they write a common language and give life to a jazz full of spontaneity... and talent!
