The Farfadets trio brings together three young musicians in search of sensitive, sincere, and nuanced music. Led by Nathan Mollet, this project draws on the colors of contemporary jazz, the textures of instrumental pop, and the subtle rhythms of Latin music to create a universe that is both intimate and luminous. Without drums, the group explores a unique soundscape, where every silence counts and every breath takes on new meaning. Alongside Gabriel Zamora Cortese on guitar and Esteban Bardet on double bass, Nathan Mollet builds a repertoire of original compositions, guided by listening, depth, and the freedom of playing as a trio. Inspired by artists such as Pedro Martins, Lyle Mays, and Aaron Parks, Farfadets develops music of the moment, poetic and immersive, where influences intertwine without ever imposing themselves. A close-knit trio, fully asserting its identity, which is taking advantage of this residency at Le Baiser Salé to refine its voice and share a suspended musical moment.

There is something deeply personal, almost introspective, about Nathan Mollet's music. His writing is refined and sensitive, shaped over the years at the crossroads of intuition and meticulous work. His projects, the result of long hours of research and piano playing, are born from a simple but essential desire: to create a sincere connection with the listener, inviting them into a world where each note conveys an emotion, a moment, a breath. Trained by the great masters of jazz—Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Hank Jones—and influenced by contemporary artists such as Pat Metheny, Avishai Cohen, Ben Wendel, Tigran Hamasyan, and Pedro Martins, Nathan has developed a musical language that is both rooted in tradition and resolutely forward-looking. From childhood, he improvised, invented loops, and played with silences and surprises. The piano became a space of total freedom for him, capable of expressing both gentleness and momentum, contemplation and audacity. With an ever-widening palette of nuances, he explores varied emotional territories, leaving room for the unexpected, the sensitive, and the living. Alongside jazz, his compositions now embrace other aesthetics: pop, electronic music, folk, and alternative. His inspirations are many—from the Beatles to Radiohead, Nick Drake, Saya Gray, Sampha, and Louis Cole—and enrich a unique, hybrid, poetic soundscape.
