A rare moment, imagined by double bassist and composer Christophe Wallemme, a key figure in French jazz, renowned for his sense of fusion and musical color. On this evening, he brings together an original line-up to perform a repertoire combining his own compositions and revisited covers, in a spirit of freedom, sensitivity and openness. At his side is Manu Codjia, a guitarist with an electric and poetic style, capable of creating a dialogue between jazz, rock and popular music like no other. His singular universe, forged through collaborations with Pat Metheny, Michel Portal and Henry Texier, brings a rare intensity to the quartet. On drums, Jules Wallemme, a gifted young musician born in 2004, impresses with his maturity, precision and energy. Trained at the CRR in Paris and then at the Musik-Akademie in Basel with Jeff Ballard, he infuses the ensemble with a striking rhythmic freshness. Finally, Sylvain Beuf, a major saxophonist on the French jazz scene, completes the group with the lyrical depth and power of his breath. Winner of the Django-Reinhardt prize, he has made his mark on numerous stages alongside Daniel Humair, Richard Galliano, André Ceccarelli and the Moutin Reunion. A magnificent journey, which takes us with great freedom through encounters and time zones.
