For this evening of contemporary funk sounds, François Constantin brings together a quartet vibrant with energy and groove, strongly inspired by Butcher Brown, the American group renowned for its inventive fusion of jazz, hip-hop, soul and funk. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Butcher Brown has established itself as a major force on the modern scene, boldly blending jazz improvisation with hard-hitting urban rhythms. On stage, Antonin Fresson on guitar, Mike Clinton on bass and Tao Ehrlich on drums accompany François Constantin in a concert of catchy melodies, deep grooves and rich textures. The first part features organic, fluid music, with each musician in intense dialogue, exploring a resolutely contemporary musical universe.
