It was in the autumn of 2025, while on exchange at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, that Gaspard met the musicians who would form the band. From the very first notes, their musical complicity was obvious. All five have been strongly influenced by the New York jazz scene, but each also brings the musical richness of his or her own background: Magnus, originally from Norway, spent several years in Amsterdam; Johannes comes from Copenhagen, Denmark; Coleman, from Boston, USA. And to complete the line-up, Gabriel Sauzay, double bass player from Caen and long-time friend of Gaspard. The concert repertoire mixes original compositions by each member with jazz standards revisited especially for the occasion. A moment of reunion, sharing and music, driven by a shared energy and multiple influences. A graduate of the CNSMDP (Conservatoire National Supérieur), Gaspard is one of the rising stars of the Paris jazz scene. He often performs with his brother Darius and the Moglia Quintet, whose music is characterized by a unique fusion of personal expression, poetry and improvisation. Gaspard draws his inspiration from a variety of sources, from John Coltrane's quartet to New York jazz and the haunting melodies of Radiohead. In this way, he creates a powerful means of expressing deep emotions through his compositions and his instrument.
