Holder of 5 Grammy Awards, he has played alongside musicians such as Mos Def, Bilal, Kanye West, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and especially Kendrick Lamar on his cult album To Pimp a Butterfly. His ever-evolving career is guided by a quest for sound and an expansion of his creative scope. Surrounded by talented musicians, Matis Hurion takes you on a one-hour concert with an irresistibly joyful and communicative energy. It's impossible to sit still! Originally from the Paris region, Matis grew up in the south of France in an artistic family, with a composer father and author mother. He took his first steps at the Perpignan conservatory. With his DEM in hand in 2021, he decided to move to Paris, where he began frequenting the city's clubs and getting involved in various projects. In September of the same year, he joined the Pôle Supérieur de Paris Boulogne-Billancourt (PSPBB), where he is currently pursuing his musical studies, notably with Martin Wangermée.
