An alchemist of sounds, Franck Nicolas invented a new style of music in New York in 2002: jazz-ka (a mix of jazz and traditional Guadeloupean drum, the "Ka"). 20 years later, still in an insatiable quest for novelty, he created POP-KA (a sung version of Jazz-Ka), a complex and danceable version, which aims to be avant-garde and which brings together: ka, Konk (shells), jazz, spirituality, singing, and popular music, whose voice is carried by the gifted young singer Ydriss, Bonalair.
