JAM DU DIMANCHE DE RONAN RISTORD
HOMMAGE À JOHN COLTRANE - 20h30
"Sunday Jam", a friendly meeting where musicians meet to improvise. This weekly session offers a relaxed atmosphere conducive to experimentation and spontaneous musical creation. A unique evening of music and sharing! A disciple of the legend Gregory Hutchinson, Ronan Ristord attended Berklee College of Music. A highly regarded sideman on the Parisian jazz scene, he now performs as a leader. His music draws its roots from swing and jazz standards without ever neglecting what makes this art beautiful: improvisation!
John Coltrane, also nicknamed "Trane", is an American saxophonist born in Hamlet on September 23, 1926 and died in Huntington on July 17, 1967. He is considered, after Charlie Parker, as one of the most influential and revolutionary saxophonists of the 20th century. A true pioneer of jazz, he managed, in his way of playing, to bring to the saxophone numerous innovations in terms of timbre, range, dynamics and harmonics, while assimilating his career and his life to a true spiritual quest.
