Surrounded by talented musicians, Matis Hurion offers you an hour of concert followed by a jam session with some of the best artists from the Paris jazz scene.
Originally from the Paris region, Matis grew up in the south of France, surrounded by a family of artists, with a composer father and an author mother. He got his start at the Perpignan Conservatory. After obtaining his DEM in 2021, he decided to move to Paris, began frequenting the city's clubs, and became involved in various projects. In September of the same year, he joined the Pôle Supérieur de Paris Boulogne-Billancourt (PSPBB), where he is currently pursuing his musical studies, notably under Martin Wangermée.
His influences include Robert Glasper, Kendrick Lamar, Nick Hakim, SiR… and he draws inspiration from renowned drummers like CJ Thompson, Justin Tyson, Taron Lockett, and Rico Nichols."
