The Julia Perminova Trio, led by the brilliant pianist and composer Julia Perminova, originally from Siberia and now based in Paris, is an explosive blend of modern jazz, fusion, and romantic classical music. The trio's story began in Amsterdam five years ago when Julia met Portuguese drummer Luís Possollo and German bassist Josef Zeimetz. Since then, their chemistry has ignited stages across Europe and South America. In 2023, they released their new album Freedom, an ode to the human struggle for freedom, featuring guest artists who add their own spice to this unique musical cocktail.
Julia has made a name for herself on the international scene, winning several jazz competitions in Spain, Portugal, and Romania, and sharing the stage with renowned artists like the NDR Big Band, Lionel Loueke, Ronie Cuber, Miguel Zenon, and many others. The trio stands out for its captivating groove and Julia’s mesmerizing piano performances, making them a must-see in contemporary jazz.
