An undisputed master of words and music, Claude Nougaro burst onto the French music scene in the 1960s. The ‘Little Bull’, as he was affectionately known, had two passions: jazz and Toulouse, his home town. From jazz to java, the author of ‘Nougayork’ was a complete artist with a powerful voice. A pioneer of world music, with his early Brazilian influences, he remains eternally a singer who is curious and open to creation, who has worked hard throughout his career to mix genres and unite French chanson, poetry and rhythm.
