KÉVIN LAZAKIS PROJECT
Spéciale YUSSEF DAYES - 21H00
Tribute to one of the leading figures of the new London jazz scene, Yussef Dayes. This vibrant scene, fueled by the African and Caribbean diaspora since 2015, has been a source of inspiration for young musicians. Although widely regarded as a "jazz" drummer, his sound blends everything from 70s funk to Senegalese percussion, and even recent British grime. The unifying factor is a fluid and vital energy.
Sideman and co-creator of various projects, Kévin grew up in the Toulouse region, with his musical life oscillating between music school and self-taught learning. Now based in Paris, he collaborates with artists such as Cheick Tidiane Seck, Stomy Bugsy, Alexandre Monfort, Etibar Asadli, Clélya Abraham, Emcee Agora, Lester Getz, Violet Indigo, Theorem of Joy, Joanne Radao… and surrounds himself with collaborators to create different projects (Machineless, Anga Tafè, Aïteka).
Created in 2012, the #JazzDeDemain slot has given rise to a series of monthly and bi-monthly residencies, allowing young artists to experiment on stage, refine their repertoire, and present it to the public. A promising and dynamic platform where creativity and innovation have no limits. #StayCurious!
