JOACHIM GOVIN TRIO

A virtuoso double bassist trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Joachim Govin quickly established himself with his powerful and subtle playing. In 2019, Joachim formed his own trio, whose chemistry was palpable from their very first concert in Paris. Rooted in spontaneity, interaction, as well as swing and the tradition of the great standards of the Great American Songbook, Govin’s trio follows in the footsteps of legendary trios like those of Lee Konitz, Kenny Garrett, and Ben van Gelder. Their music is a fusion of elegance, groove, and lyricism.
